(Above) On the way home from our trip, in the New Orleans Airport, Andrew makes a new friend within minutes. He wanted to sit with his friend on the airplane too!

(Above) This picture was scary to take because there were two pit bulls on chains in the front yard, but I thought it was worth the risk. Notice "Help FEMA" in the upper left corner.

(Above) This was a cool shot...this is a refrigerator that is still stuck in a tree four years after the hurricane.

(Above) Here is Andrew with his trout. He was not interested in holding it for the camera.

(Above) I caught this large red fish all by myself using a piece of a dead shrimp! Yes, I bait my own hook too!

(Above) Here is a picture of the blue crab that I caught using a live shrimp. We decided to let him go back to his home in the sea.

Sorry these photos are completely out of order, but I was not going to start all over again...blogger was not cooperating today! Anyway, we had a successful fishing trip south of New Orleans this past week and weekend. We caught lots of red fish, speckled trout, and I even caught a blue crab. Some of my favorite parts of staying in LA included getting to eat raw oysters ever single day, spending time with family, getting to eat raw oysters every single day, and finally seeing the area after the hurricane. David has been down since Katrina, but this was my first time since July of 2005! We were thrilled to discover that we could take some of our fish back with us on the airplane...what a shocker. We are looking forward to our next trip!
