Safari Party

We celebrated the 21st Annual Can/Safari Party this weekend at Kanopolanes where we have our metal mansion. There were games for the kids, horsehoes, a golf cart parade, a raffle, a dj that evening, and the best part...free beer all day long. The only downside to this year's event (our first as trailer owners) was that it rained ALL DAY LONG!!! It rained all night long too!! However, we were not discouraged! Here are a few pics from the event. I got tired of carrying my camera around in the rain, so I only included a few photos.

Wonderpets Birthday Party for Andrew

We celebrated Andrew's 4 Year Birthday Party this past weekend at the water park. We actually celebrated a week early, but no one knows that except for myself, David, and whoever is reading this blog!! The weather was awesome, and several of his buddies made it to the special event. Andrew selected a Wonder Pets theme for his party, and I was able to find all kinds of Wonder Pets stuff at birthdayexpress.com. Andrew got 3-D sidewalk chalk, a solar powered car, water gun, a monkeys in the bed game, sand toys, a bug hotel from his friends. We have played with all of these at some point over the past weekend!! Mom and Dad got him books, a super duper CAT dump truck, a bike for the lake, and a Cars race track. We are out of room, and I wish I had participated in the city-wide yard sale this past weekend!

Louisiana Fishing Trip

(Above) On the way home from our trip, in the New Orleans Airport, Andrew makes a new friend within minutes. He wanted to sit with his friend on the airplane too!

Sorry these photos are completely out of order, but I was not going to start all over again...blogger was not cooperating today! Anyway, we had a successful fishing trip south of New Orleans this past week and weekend. We caught lots of red fish, speckled trout, and I even caught a blue crab. Some of my favorite parts of staying in LA included getting to eat raw oysters ever single day, spending time with family, getting to eat raw oysters every single day, and finally seeing the area after the hurricane. David has been down since Katrina, but this was my first time since July of 2005! We were thrilled to discover that we could take some of our fish back with us on the airplane...what a shocker. We are looking forward to our next trip!

A little over a week ago, we went to Hutchinson Raceway Park for a night of racing. One of my good friends from work has a husband who is a very skilled racer. He won his division that night, and Andrew got his picture taken holding the trophy. Andrew is on the far right in the top photo holding the winning trophy. Andrew also got to sit in the actual race car too for a photo!
I am a little behind on my blogging. I have tons of photos from our Louisiana fishing trip that I hope to get downloaded tonight.
